The
reference depth as a function of frequency can be determined by the formula
d= sq .root of p over uf.
P=
electrical resistivity
F=
frequency
U=
1 for non-magnetic materials
This
table will give you a good idea of the frequency needed for a particular
size part. This is just a basic chart and some other factors are involved.
However when needing to know what frequency area you should be in it is a
very good tool.
Induction
Brazing
The joining of two metals (similar and dissimilar) to form a strong and
leak proof joint. With induction the process can be done rapidly and
inexpensively. The process with induction can be automated and is easily
repeatable part after part. With a brazing system the operation is pushing a
button and the power and heat cycle time are controlled for a perfect joint
every time.
Heat Treating
The heating of steel to a certain temperature (determined by the
material) and rapidly cooled by a quench method, usually water, air, oil or
a combination of a polymer and water. The purpose is to change the
micro-structure of the metal in a way to produce a surface hardness and a
flexible core.
